The video for Lady Gaga's record breaking gay anthem Born This Way is finally here. If you were expecting a bright and colourful video to go along with the song's uplifting message of self-acceptance, then you're in for a bit of a shock. Mother monster has delivered a dark and demented extravaganza about the birth of a new species and the origins of evil. Gaga kicks off the Nick Knight-directed opus by reciting her monster manifesto while giving birth to goo covered eggs - before dancing in a leather bikini and making out with death in skeleton makeup. Vagina's are a recurring theme throughout the video, which I assume is symbolic of creation or just there for shock value. Either way this is not your average pop video! The influence of sci-fi and B-Grade horror movies is clearly apparent with nods to everything from Aliens to Michael Jackson's iconic Thriller video but the overall effect is very impressive.
