Wishing a Tres Fab Birthday to Darryl Stephens

American actor Darryl Stephens, born in Pasadena, California, turns 37 today. Darryl attended the University of California, Berkeley where he studied sociology and ethnic studies along with drama and dance before earning a Bachelor's Degree in American Culture studies. He then went on to perform for four years in San Francisco with a theatre troupe before returning to Los Angeles to pursue a film and television career. He is best known for playing Noah Nicholson on the television show Noah's Arc from 2005 to 2006. Darryl is also well known by his gay fans for two movies he did in 2006, playing Angel in Another Gay Movie and Andrew in Boy Culture. Although reticent to discuss his personal life, Darryl is openly gay and came out shortly after Noah's Arc ended. As he explains, "I did the Out 100 in 2007. It's never been a big deal privately. The concern we had at the beginning of the show, and one that we still have, is that once you do a gay show and talk about your personal sexuality, nobody wants to talk about anything else. It came to be such a dumb thing to be dodging the question. When Out Magazine called and asked me if I'd like to be included, I said well at this point, they're calling me directly. I may as well accept the honour and get on with it." Stevens has gone on to more television and movie roles, and in 2010 released his first single "Envious Moon", and is set to record his first music project.
